Welcome to Melanin November, a monthly challenge to encourage diversity in our art. Be it stories illustraion, photography or more, everyone is free to participate!
What is Melanin November?

Melanin November is a monthly challenge for everyone to participate. It's a great exercise to focus on normalizing diversity in our works or even sharing a bit of history on cultures that exist outside of the realm of what's normally taught. Within any field of creativity where people are a subject, we make the effort to include those in everyday life in our work. For example - taking pictures of a black woman or brown man or illustrating an elven monarch whose skin is as dark as onyx. We celebrate the skin, faces and hair of People of color through inclusion. Diversity should never be an issue, it should be the normal.
How do I join in?

It's simple actually! Just share a piece of something you've made or some history you enjoy or even a picture of yourself for everyday of November! You can even make every submission a piece of an original character! Just use the Hashtag #MelaninNovember and there you go! You've entered the challenge! It's a challenge for a reason so you're encouraged to try and cover as many days as possible, but don't push yourself either. One submission is good enough!
Rules
